Professor, in 1993 received a doctor's degree from the University of Iowa. Professor and chair of the Department of Cell and molecular biology, Tulane University, John Johan L. and Mary Wright-eber, chair of the Department of Cell and molecular biology, national Science Foundation Assessor, American Heart Association National Center Foundation Assessor, British Medical Research Foundation, Hong Kong Education Foundation and Wellcome Trust Overseas Assessor. The editorial board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Developmental Dynamics, Development and other international famous journals mainly studies the molecular Biological mechanism and genetic regulation mechanism during organ Development. Since becoming a professor and director of the Department of Cell and molecular biology at Tulane University in the United States, he has established a laboratory and research group based on modern molecular biology techniques, using the methods of in vivo genetic modification (gene knockout and transgene overexpression) and in vitro experiments in model animal mice, the molecular mechanism of tooth, palatal plate, heart, limb bud and temporomandibular joint has been studied in detail, and a breakthrough has been made. NIH has supported 22 projects, funded more than US $17 million for independent research, published nearly 100 SCI articles, and written 16 monographs (chapters) and review articles, he was invited to give more than 90 lectures at international conferences and famous universities at home and abroad.
